About Us

The Hillwalkers Club is a Dublin based hiking club that was established in 1993 for those who wanted to enjoy long, adventurous hikes in Wicklow and further afield. The club has a membership of just under 100, and is affiliated to Mountaineering Ireland, the representative body for hillwalkers and climbers in Ireland.

The Hillwalkers Club meets to go hiking on almost every Sunday of the year. The Club usually hikes in the Dublin and Wicklow Mountains, but also organises longer day trips and weekends away to other mountain ranges in Ireland, such as the Comeraghs, Mournes, Galtees and MacGillicuddy Reeks.

In addition to hiking activities, there is also a vibrant social programme throughout the year that includes a Christmas party and summer barbecue, as well as events and activities such as kayaking, rock climbing, brewery tours and meals out.
